Moss on old stone, a forest floor after rain: the Tapison Home Torino 063.0078.4234 brings that kind of green indoors. Sage and olive yarns lie over a deep plum and brown base, so the colour shifts between soft green and something darker depending on the light and where you stand. A dark brown bound edge frames it neatly.
Green works with more than you might expect. Here it sits comfortably next to terracotta, cognac leather, rattan and warm oak, and it looks just as good with crisp white and black for a more graphic room. Add a few plants and the space starts to feel like a garden room, even in the middle of winter.
Underfoot the pile is low, dense and soft, with fine lines through it that catch the light. This Torino is woven in Belgium from polyester, so it keeps its colour and copes well with daily life; a regular vacuum is all it really asks for.
