Think of a garden seen through morning mist. Soft pink, ochre and lilac drift across grey blue and sage green, with a few darker patches of charcoal and tiny sparks of coral to keep it lively. The Tapison Home Torino 063.0934.5626 is colourful, but in a quiet, powdery way.

The colours are not laid down flat. Each field is edged by a line cut into the pile, which gives the low, dense surface a gentle relief you notice as soon as light falls across it. Underfoot it feels soft and even.

This is a multicolour rug for people who usually choose neutrals. Next to a grey or sand sofa it brings in colour without shouting, and it gives you a whole palette to pick from for cushions, a throw or a piece of art: dusty pink, mustard, sage and blue all find an echo in the pile.

You can choose the shape that suits the room. Rectangular for under the sofa or dining table, round for a reading corner or a round table, and the organic pebble shape when you want softer lines. Every shape has a neatly finished edge.

Machine woven in Belgium from polyester, the Torino holds its colour, works with underfloor heating and needs little care. Vacuum regularly, blot spills immediately with a damp cloth without rubbing, and turn the rug occasionally so it wears evenly.

So many shades are best judged with your own eyes. Come and see the rug at our rug shop and showroom in Willebroek, in the Antwerp region, easily accessible from Antwerp, Brussels, Mechelen and Sint-Niklaas. We deliver online orders free across Europe, with 30 day returns.
