Structures 2.0 Fragment 2 Arctic Green is a green designer wool rug in a dark grey green, as muted as a fir forest on a winter afternoon. OEO Studio's meandering lines are not set off in another colour here but cut into the pile, so the pattern lives through texture and shadow. Low sunlight brings the relief forward; in the evening it sinks back into one deep, velvety tone.

It is a natural match for interiors built on natural materials: a walnut sideboard, a sofa in oatmeal bouclé, stoneware vases and a few green plants. In a library or study it adds depth without darkening the room, and in a bedroom with off white linen it feels quietly enveloping. Sizes go up to 250 x 350 cm for large living spaces.

This version is handtufted in India from 100% New Zealand wool, with a low pile that suits underfloor heating. Every rug is made by hand, so small variations in size and shade are to be expected and part of its charm. New wool sheds a little in the first weeks, which settles with regular vacuuming. Use a vacuum without a rotating brush and blot spills promptly with a clean cloth.
