Ripples left in the sand when the tide goes out. That is what the lines on the Tapison Home Torino 063.0990.6797 bring to mind: broad, soft bands of ivory winding across a ground of pale grey that fades in and out like watercolour.

Everything about this rug is gentle. The contrast is low, the grey has a slightly warm cast, and the ivory lines are woven a touch fuller than the ground, which gives the pattern a faint relief. The pile is short, dense and soft to walk on.

Use it where you want light and calm. Under a sofa in off-white or greige it makes the seating area feel larger; in a bedroom it works beautifully with linen, pale wood and soft grey walls. Because the pattern has movement, the rug never looks flat, even in an all-neutral room, and it is more forgiving in daily life than a plain cream rug.

The Torino is machine woven in Belgium from polyester, a fibre that holds its colour and cleans easily. It is suitable for underfloor heating. Vacuum regularly, blot spills at once with a damp cloth without rubbing, and turn the rug now and then so it wears evenly.

Light rugs are best chosen in real daylight. You are welcome at our rug shop and showroom in Willebroek, in the Antwerp region, easily accessible from Antwerp, Brussels, Mechelen and Sint-Niklaas. Online orders are delivered free across Europe, with 30 day returns.
