Lines that wander like the grain of an old tree trunk or the bands in a cut agate. On the Tapison Home Torino 063.0990.4299 they run in soft ivory across a ground of grey green, sea green and a hint of petrol, sometimes closing into rings, sometimes drifting off towards the edge.

The background is anything but plain. The greens and greys are streaked as if brushed on by hand, and tiny flecks of ochre warm up the cool palette. The pile is short and dense, pleasantly soft underfoot and flat enough for chairs to slide easily.

A graphic pattern like this gives a room direction without making it busy. It suits a modern interior with a grey or off-white sofa, light oak and matt black details, and it is a natural choice wherever you already have green or blue accents: a velvet armchair, a few cushions, a painted wall.

The Torino is machine woven in Belgium from polyester. It keeps its colour, can be used on underfloor heating and asks for very little: vacuum regularly, blot spills straight away with a damp cloth rather than rubbing, and turn the rug from time to time so it wears evenly.

Curious how the green shifts in daylight? Come and see it at our rug shop and showroom in Willebroek, in the Antwerp region, easily accessible from Antwerp, Brussels, Mechelen and Sint-Niklaas. Online orders are delivered free across Europe, with 30 day returns.
