Rya Soft Beige is a beige high pile wool rug in a soft greige, a shade that sits right between beige and grey. The rya is a much loved Scandinavian tradition of long, loose pile made for warmth and for living close to the floor, and this rug carries that heritage with an easy, contemporary calm.
That in between colour is wonderfully easy to combine. Pair it with a stone coloured sofa, light oak and black metal in a modern living room, or bring it into a bedroom with wool throws and warm white walls. The three sizes, up to 200 x 300 cm, cover a seating area as well as a spot beside the bed.
It is made in India, handwoven from 100% New Zealand wool, and can be used with underfloor heating. Handwork means that small deviations in size and shade are normal. Vacuum on a low setting without the brush, or simply shake the rug out. In the first weeks the long pile releases some loose fibres, which is entirely normal for a rya.
