Nothing has been added to the colour of Escape Kelim Light Beige: this light beige wool kilim owes its sandy tone entirely to the natural wool. The surface is plain and flat, without pile or fringes, and each short end closes with a band in a contrasting shade, a clean frame like the margin of a well set page. Up close, the weave shows a soft, sandy grain.

Light beige brings sunlit warmth to a room without asking for attention. It suits a living room with white walls, pale oak and cane furniture, or a dining area with a light wooden table and cream tableware. The runner of 90 x 250 cm lies perfectly flat in a hallway or beside a bed, and the large 300 x 400 cm size can carry an entire lounge.

Space Copenhagen designed Escape Kelim for Massimo Copenhagen. It is handwoven in India in the kelim technique, from 100% undyed natural New Zealand wool. Without pile it lies low and is well suited to underfloor heating. Each rug comes off a hand loom, which explains the slight differences in measurements and shade from one piece to the next. Vacuum without the brush roller, blot spilled liquid at once with a dry cloth, and expect a little fluff at first.
