Cloud 9 Day is a light blue wool rug with the mood of a clear spring sky, crossed by clouds in powdery pink and beige. Flat woven passages and tufted zones with a soft pile lie side by side, so the clouds stand out slightly under your fingertips and the surface feels as airy as it looks.

The fresh, cheerful palette is lovely in a bright home office, a reading nook by the window or a child's bedroom with white furniture. Combine it with natural rattan, light birch and a few accents in terracotta or blush, and the blue feels warm rather than cool. In a living room with pale walls, the 200 x 300 cm size brings a breath of open air to the whole space.

Made in India, the rug combines handweaving and hand tufting in 100% New Zealand wool, after a design by FACNE Design Studio for Massimo Copenhagen. It suits rooms with underfloor heating. Handwork leaves its trace in small variations of size and colour, and that is exactly what makes each piece unique. To care for it, vacuum gently without the rotating brush; some shedding at the start is normal for a new wool rug.
