Cord Yellow Oatmeal combines a warm oatmeal wool weave with sunny yellow lines that run the length of the rug. The chunky, handwoven texture keeps it relaxed and tactile, and the fringes at both short ends, partly in yellow, finish it with a playful touch. The design comes from the Cord collection by Layered and the Swedish design studio Massproductions.

It brightens a room without taking over. With a black bouclé armchair, tan leather and light oak it feels Scandinavian and warm at the same time. Choose 200 x 300 cm under a sofa and coffee table, 250 x 350 cm for a larger living room, or the 75 x 240 cm runner for a kitchen or hallway that deserves a little sunshine.

Woven by hand in Bhadohi, India, from 100% wool, about 15 mm high, and suitable for underfloor heating. Handwork means small variations in size and tone. New wool sheds a little at first, which fades over time. Vacuum without a brush and treat stains with lukewarm water and a little soap, then absorb the moisture with a dry microfibre cloth. For a deep clean, choose professional flat washing.
