Greige is the word that fits Senso Level Soft Taupe best: a cool grey taupe, mixed from grey and beige yarns with a few lighter flecks, so the colour stays alive without ever becoming a pattern. The only drawing is a fine line raised in relief, tone on tone. It traces a large rectangle near the edges and a smaller one placed low within it, slipping just over the bottom line like a second level. You notice it first with your fingers, then with your eyes.

This cool, composed shade works well in a home office or study. Lay it under a desk in oak or black steel, on a concrete, grey tiled or light wooden floor, and the room gains warmth without visual noise. A desk chair moves easily over the thin, flat weave. Add a linen curtain and a bouclé chair for reading, and the workspace starts to feel like part of the home. In a living room it sits just as naturally beside greys, off white and natural stone.

The material is 100% pure new wool, woven flat by hand in India. Wool is naturally resilient, so the surface recovers well, and at around 6 mm the rug lies low enough for doors to pass over it. There is no backing: use a non slip underlay on parquet, tiles or other smooth floors. Underfloor heating is no problem. A new wool rug loses some loose fibres in the first weeks, which is normal and stops with regular vacuuming.
