Green in four voices: that is the first impression of Decor Miller Summer. A light sage green forms the ground, a fresher moss green fills the large rounded field on one side, and a dark forest green curves in from the other. Below them sit a cream shape and a wide band of dove grey, while a small near black oval adds a graphic full stop. The rug itself has no straight edge anywhere. Its outline swells and narrows like a river stone, and the wool surface is plush and even.

Green on the floor brings a room closer to the garden, so this rug is a natural choice near large windows or a conservatory door. Pair it with light ash or oak furniture, rattan, linen curtains and plants in terracotta pots. The grey and cream fields make the link with a concrete floor or a pale stone tile. Because of its free shape it does not need to line up with anything: slide a third of it under the sofa or a reading chair and let the rest show.

The material is 100% pure new wool, hand tufted in India into a cut pile of 17 mm on a cotton and latex backing. Dimensions for this organic shape are taken at the longest and widest point, and Brink & Campman can also make it to measure on request. Underfloor heating is no problem. Expect some loose fibres during the first weeks, as with every new wool rug. Regular vacuuming with a smooth nozzle, not a rotating brush, is all the care it asks for.
