Lent Lily is based on a rarely seen watercolour from The Huntington's archive, and the rug keeps the movement of the brush. Tall pointed tulips in madder red lean between great acanthus leaves in sage and olive, while tiny wild daffodils in coral and peach scatter across a ground of midnight indigo.
Morris & Co Lent Lily Indigo Madder is drawn on a grand scale, so it reads from across the room. Put it in front of a stone fireplace or beside a grey linen sofa and it becomes the picture the room was missing. Dark wood, green glazed pottery and a red lampshade pick up its colours beautifully.
The rug is hand tufted in India in 100% pure new wool, with a 17 mm pile on a cotton and latex backing. The outlines are carved by hand, which gives the leaves their relief. It works with underfloor heating and can be ordered made to measure. New wool sheds lightly in the first weeks, so vacuum often without a rotating brush, and blot any spill with a dry cloth.

We offer free delivery anywhere in the European Union on all rug orders. Every rug is carefully packaged and shipped with tracking. Delivery times vary by stock location and are shown on each product page. Rugs in stock at our showroom ship within 3 working days; items coming from external warehouses or production require additional processing time.
For deliveries outside the EU, local customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations.
Returns
You have 30 days to return your rug from our standard collection, provided it is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
