Sumace Natural is a natural jute rug with fringes, glowing in the warm golden colour of the plant fibre. Hemp and jute are knotted into a chunky, irregular surface with a relaxed, earthy character, and when the sun reaches it the rug seems to light up from within.
It brings instant warmth to a white kitchen, a country living room or a minimal Scandinavian space with pale walls. Combine it with terracotta pots, linen cushions and a rough wooden coffee table, or put it under the dining table, where its low pile looks calm and orderly. It comes in three sizes, the largest 250 x 300 cm.
This rug is handknotted in India, in 100% hemp/jute. You can use it on underfloor heating. Measurements of the knotted part do not include the fringes. Because each rug is knotted by hand, each one turns out a touch different in size and colour. Keep it dry: vacuum without the brush, dab up any spill straight away and have it cleaned professionally when needed.
