Barley Chestnut pairs golden jute with dark chestnut brown wool in a small, tight check. The result is a warm, earthy rug with real depth: calm from a distance, richly textured up close, and firm underfoot thanks to a 14 mm pile.
Chestnut brown is the most forgiving shade in the collection and hides the traces of daily life well. It sits naturally with herringbone floors, dark wood, black iron and pale plaster walls, in a living room as much as in a hallway or a dining room. 200 x 300 cm suits a sofa with two armchairs, 300 x 400 cm a large living room, and the 75 x 240 cm runner a busy hallway.
Handwoven in Bhadohi, India, using the traditional punja technique, in which the yarn is packed tightly with a heavy comb. 70% jute and 30% wool on a cotton warp, with a pile of about 14 mm. Handwork means small variations in size and tone. Vacuum often, and shake out and air the rug now and then to keep it at its best. Avoid washing it: plant fibres such as jute are sensitive to moisture, so blot spills straight away with a dry cloth.

We offer free delivery anywhere in the European Union on all rug orders. Every rug is carefully packaged and shipped with tracking. Delivery times vary by stock location and are shown on each product page. Rugs in stock at our showroom ship within 3 working days; items coming from external warehouses or production require additional processing time.
For deliveries outside the EU, local customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations.
Returns
You have 30 days to return your rug from our standard collection, provided it is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
