Harlequin Sedimentary Pine is a view over wooded hills, told in green alone. Six or seven bands rise from deep pine at the foot to celadon, sage and a pale mist at the top, and their wavering edges make the colour seem to drift like weather.
A rug in a single colour family is restful in a way pattern rarely is. This one brings the calm of a forest walk to a room with timber walls, linen curtains and stone, and it gives a sculptural chair or a large plant a stage. In brass or gold light the greens turn warmer.
Sedimentary is made in India by hand tufting 100% pure new wool to a pile of 17 mm, backed with cotton and latex. Underfloor heating poses no problem, a tailored size can be ordered, and the design also comes as a runner. Colour and dimensions vary a little from rug to rug, as handwork does. Vacuum with the brush switched off, expect light shedding at first, and press a dry cloth onto any spill.
You can see and feel our rugs in our rug shop and showroom in Willebroek, in the Antwerp region, easily accessible from Antwerp, Brussels, Mechelen and Sint-Niklaas. Delivery is free across Europe and you have 30 days to return.
