Hundreds of short brown marks, set down row after row like writing in a script nobody can read. Acsento Papyrus Beige has the feel of an old manuscript: a sand coloured ground with a fine linear texture, and on it rows of chocolate and mocha brown dabs that are denser in some places and almost gone in others.
The pattern is strong but the colours are natural, which makes the rug easy to place. On a dark wooden floor it lights up the room, on a pale floor the brown marks give depth. Keep the furniture simple and low and let the rug do the talking.
Papyrus is machine woven in Belgium in heatset polypropylene, a yarn valued for its soft, wool like touch and its easy care. The pile is 11 mm high and dense, and the rug can be used on underfloor heating. Vacuum regularly, and blot spills promptly with a dry cloth.
