Basket Weave Sisal Brown takes the same hand woven basket weave into a deeper, warmer register: a soft tobacco brown with flecks of natural fibre that give the surface life. It is quietly elegant, and thanks to its firm sisal construction it is one of the most hard wearing rugs you can put down.
Brown sisal gives a room weight and calm. It looks beautiful with a curved staircase, cream plaster walls, a bouclé armchair in caramel and a slender pedestal table, and it hides the traces of daily life well, which makes it ideal for a hallway or a busy living room. 250 x 350 cm anchors a large seating area, 180 x 270 cm suits a smaller living room, and the 75 x 240 cm runner a hallway.
Handwoven in Bhadohi, India, from 100% sisal, about 8 mm high. Sisal comes from the leaves of the agave plant and is coarser and firmer than jute, which makes it hard wearing and well suited to busy areas. Handwork means small variations in size and tone. Vacuum often, and shake out and air the rug now and then so it lasts a long time. Avoid washing it: plant fibres are sensitive to moisture, so blot spills straight away with a dry cloth.

We offer free delivery anywhere in the European Union on all rug orders. Every rug is carefully packaged and shipped with tracking. Delivery times vary by stock location and are shown on each product page. Rugs in stock at our showroom ship within 3 working days; items coming from external warehouses or production require additional processing time.
For deliveries outside the EU, local customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations.
Returns
You have 30 days to return your rug from our standard collection, provided it is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging.
