Not all luxury outdoor rugs are the same. The low end of the market uses polypropylene that fades and hardens within a season. Brink & Campman and its associated brands produce outdoor rugs in handwoven recycled PET constructions, with the same production standards as their indoor range. Two brands available in the Rugsman BV showroom in Willebroek cannot be ordered online. Ora Pro Nobis produces hand-tufted rugs in its own workshop in Stekene, Belgium, with the official Handmade in Belgium label. It is one of the only producers in the country where the entire process, from yarn to finished rug, takes place on Belgian soil. Longbarn from the Netherlands works in materials rarely found in standard rug retail: Belgian linen, mohair, silk and wool blends, space-dyed wool and TENCEL from eucalyptus fibres. For buyers looking for something that does not appear in any online catalogue, the showroom is where to start.
