We're incredibly proud to introduce the latest addition to our collection: five stunning eco collections from Louis de Poortere. These Belgian designer rugs prove you don't have to choose between style and sustainability. Quite the opposite, actually.
What makes these rugs sustainable?
All collections are part of Louis de Poortere's Ecorugs program. That means every rug is made from 70% to 100% recycled polyester (PET). But it goes beyond that: the rugs are also fully recyclable at the end of their lifecycle. Circular design in practice.
And we haven't even mentioned the convenience yet. These rugs are machine washable, suitable for underfloor heating, and you can use them both indoors and outdoors (covered). They feature an integrated anti-slip backing, so you don't need an extra underlay. They're also anti-allergic and anti-static. Oh, and they're woven in Belgium using top-quality Jacquard flatweave.
Meditation Sendai: for those who love tranquility
This collection is inspired by weathered surfaces and calm landscapes. The colors are softly layered, creating a serene atmosphere in your living room, bedroom, or office.
You can choose from four colors: Cottage Grey combines grey tones with warm beige for a neutral foundation, Forest Mood brings deep green tones with lighter accents (perfect for natural interiors), Rosebud plays with muted rose and earthy shades that shift gently with the light, and Deep Water shows rich layers of deep blue and petrol for a calming atmosphere.
Perfect for those seeking a quiet, balanced look in modern or Scandinavian interiors.
Meditation Aquarelle: as if painted with watercolors
Organic shapes, asymmetrical patterns, colors flowing seamlessly into each other. This collection evokes freshly painted watercolors. Ideal for creative interiors and open spaces.
Rust brings warm rust and terracotta tones for an earthy feel. Rain keeps it subtle with grey tones and charcoal, minimalist and timeless. Leaf opts for soft leaf green and olive tones, natural and fresh. And Storms combines teal, petrol blue, and soft green in a dynamic way.
Ideal if you love abstract art, natural forms, and contemporary design.
Gallery Stones: retro with a modern twist
Rounded shapes, abstract patterns, overlapping elements. This collection has something architectural and simultaneously retro. An eye-catcher in any space.
Eclipse plays with muted violet, soft blush, and warm stone tones for an introspective mood. Cookie opts for warm brown tones, sand, and beige with a gentle rhythm.
For interiors that want to make a statement without shouting. Fits beautifully in mid-century modern and eclectic styles.
Craft Marble: mineral elegance with geometric patterns
Rectangular shapes with layered patterns that mimic natural stone. This collection has something architectural and timeless, inspired by marble and other minerals.
Larch combines olive green, larch yellow, and deep teal in an architectural overlap. Oak keeps it warm and neutral with beige, sand, and oak brown. Rosewood dares with deep rose, terracotta, and plum tones for a luxurious feel. And Kanell opts for vibrant orange and cinnamon tones, warm and inviting.
Beautiful in modern interiors seeking warmth, depth, and a natural aesthetic.
Craft Zen Garden: Japanese serenity in geometric design
Inspired by the graphic structure of Japanese Zen gardens. Hundreds of small geometric elements form a calming whole together. Minimalism meets graphic design.
Scots Pine shows cool blue dots on a natural background, fresh and calm. Pomelo brings energy with vibrant pomelo and saffron tones. Grenadine opts for warm pomegranate red tones, bold and warm. And Dryed Banana adds warmth with ochre and golden yellow accents.
For those who love graphic design, Japanese aesthetics, and a calming atmosphere.
Why choose these collections?
Simple: because you don't have to choose between beautiful and sustainable. These five collections from Louis de Poortere show that both go perfectly together. Belgian craftsmanship, recycled materials, fully recyclable, machine washable. And we haven't even talked about how beautiful they are yet.
Whether you choose the calming tones of Meditation Sendai, the flowing forms of Aquarelle, the retro charm of Gallery Stones, the mineral elegance of Craft Marble, or the Japanese serenity of Zen Garden, each rug is an investment in sustainable design.
