The name suggests otherwise, but Online Tapijten has more than a century of specialised experience on its counter. The business started in 1907 as De Smedt & Zonen, later known as 'Louis Tapijt' after the founder's son.
In the late 1960s, Freddy De Smedt established premises in A. Van Landeghemstraat in Willebroek, with a 1,000-square-metre showroom. In 2009, the online story started - an initiative of current business manager Cristian Sanduc
The virtual shop took the commitment and quality far beyond the country's borders. But the warm, personal service with unbeatable expertise is still the difference maker. With a bonus: made-to-measure carpets when standard sizes fall short.
