A rug is indispensable in a cosy home; it gives a homely atmosphere. But 'suddenly' there is a big stain. No need to panic, as you can very easily clean your rug yourself. The stain will disappear and you will also save on costs for professional cleaning. In just a few (easy!) steps, your rug will be like new again!
My carpet actually still looks perfectly clean, so why should I clean it anyway? A question we understand, but a lot of dirt can collect in your rug. The rug acts as a kind of filter, collecting all the dust. The dirt is stored in your rug, which causes the fibres to be damaged and the rug to wear out more quickly. A great shame and therefore very easy to prevent!
Do you opt for professional cleaning or do you prefer to do it yourself? This depends on a few factors, such as how delicate your rug is but also how much money you want to spend on cleaning it.
Also pay attention to the manufacturer's maintenance instructions; some rugs can only be cleaned professionally.
If you choose to clean your rug yourself, we can give you some options:
Good preparation is half the battle. You can prepare your rug for cleaning by vacuuming it thoroughly. Modern hoovers have several options that allow you to remove even the finest dust. Place a handy attachment brush on the hoover; if you have a high-pile rug, we recommend a smooth nozzle.
Make sure you cover the rug with James Water. Work by hand in a circle from the outside inwards. The rug should only get superficially wet, so make sure not to apply too much agent!
Wipe the rug with a soft cloth. The rug should then be allowed to dry thoroughly. Then vacuum thoroughly again.
Bummer, those annoying stains whose first thought is: I will NEVER get them out. James Stain Wonder will take care of this, the instructions can be found on the packaging.
